Welcome to the User Innovation and Development Model Guide

The JISC Users and Innovation programme is piloting new approaches to development cycles through its development model, which is designed to increase the level of user engagement to ensure that the innovative development of technology is integrated with corresponding innovation in practices and processes. This Guide is initially intended for members of the Emerge Community of Practice (CoP) but the intention is that it will become an essential component within the JISC e-Framework by providing a standard approach to the development of a new generation of innovative, useful and usable web services.

You may be wondering what has happened to the UIDM wiki. Well the UIDM team felt it wasn't very accessible or user-friendly and not in the UIDM spirit. And the Emerge team had made this lovely Moodle site which has much better toys in it so we thought we'd play here instead. We've left the wiki as it is as a milestone we passed along the way.
